Want to make more secure your wireless network or looking to upgrade the firmware existing router. To access the various setting of Router, you first need to know the exact IP address of router.
Most Commonly the default IP address of the router is either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 But what is you changed the default IP address during the installation and unfortunately, you don't remember the address any more.
Its not problem. There are many way to quickly determine the IP address of router. Some are shown here-
1. Go to Start –> Run and enter "cmd /k ipconfig" - It show the IP address listed under default gateway is your router's IP address (screenshot)
3. Open Run and type the traceroute command - "cmd /k tracert www.dtcrunch.blogspot.com" - The IP address listed at the first hop in the traceroute log is your router's IP address.
If nothing works, you might have to reset the router to factory defaults and this will change its IP address to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
