Mozilla FireFox4- 80 Million Downloads

Mozilla Firefox 4 web browser has been downloaded more than 80 million times, and growing. These are the numbers the new Mozilla Firefox 4 web browser brags with. Pretty impressive, we must say.

Mozilla launched the latest version of the popular browser Three weeks ago,22 March 2011. managing to overcome the so called record recorded by Microsoft and their Internet Explorer 9 web browser, which was downloaded 2,3 million times in the first 24 hours since the release.

But the IE9 record has become humiliating when Mozilla announced that the Firefox 4 web browser recorded 4 times more downloads, reaching 10 million.

One week after the release, Mozilla still enjoys a high demand of their web browser, the download counter provided by Mozilla indicating almost 2,000 downloads per minute.

Firefox 4 has a major advantage compared to Internet Explorer 9 because it offers Windows XP support, an operating system Microsoft has chosen to ignore, a decision that caused many critics since 40-50% of the computers in the world are running on the XP operating system.
