Some New Features Coming Soon To Firefox 5


You have barely begun getting used to FireFox4 new Amazing Features , and Mozilla is already preparing us for a June 21 release of Firefox 5.

The latest release schedule reveals that Mozilla Firefox 5 beta could release on May 17th, and the final (stable version) on June 21st.
It’s only been a few of days since FireFox 4 became available for download, and now, a preview of the next version, Firefox 5, is already available.

Firefox 6 and 7 are also scheduled for release in 2011.
DESKTOP APPS. Similar to the Pinned Sites feature on Internet Explorer 9 (pinning websites to Windows taskbar), Firefox 5 will also allow users to do the same. Mozilla calls it "Desktop Apps," a feature that activates site specific Browsers.

HOME TAB. The Home button is gone, but a prominent and permanent Home Tab replaces it.

FIREFOX SYNC NOTIFICATION. Firefox Sync is a very useful feature, but what if the user doesn’t know it exists? So, in Firefox 5, you’ll see a notification to set up Sync the first time your save a password or bookmark, and via snippets in blank page (about:home / new tab page).

STREAMLINED SEARCH BOX. The search field shows a search engine specific color button as the user types in a query. This makes it easier for the users to identify which search engine they are about to use.Apparently, Mozilla will ask its search engine partners (G and Wikipedia) to specify their favorite color.
For other websites (pinned sites), Firefox picks the most dominant color in their favicon.

ACCOUNT MANAGER. Once you visit a site, which you have a sign-in password for

(in your Account Manager / Password Manager), it gets really easy to sign-in now.
Right-click on the sign-in button, select the account (username) and you are signed in.

For sites that allow you to sign-in with multiple accounts at the same time (like Gmail),

you will see a check box to switch between accounts.

SOCIAL SHARING. As you can see (below), You can share content right away on

Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. To add an account, click the "+" button and enter your log-in credentials… that’s it.

OTHER FEATURES include, showing add-ons in toolbar (like in Google Chrome), file upload progress indicator, new tab page, and integrated PDF viewer, MP3 and Video players,among many others yet to be revealed.

When Google Calendar changed the Favicon , many people wondered why it only shows 31 . "Does it mean that starting today, every day will be the 31st ? Seriously, favicon should be changed everyday to match the date," suggested a Google Calendar user. Google listened to the feedback and the favicon will now change Every Day. "When you look at the Google Calendar icon at the top of your browser window, it will no longer always display 31 but will instead change to reflect the current day of the month. Today's date is now always a short glance away." Google Calendar is the first Google service that has a dynamic favicon, but you can change Gmail's favicon to show the number of unread messages . Google Docs , It is the popular cloud based Office Suit of Google . Google has been continuously adding new features for his users in Google Docs. Recently Google made Docs more advance by adding the uploading, storing and viewing video feature to Docs. Here is the way how you can upload and view video in Google Docs. Google provide 1GB space for upload a video with the maximum resolution of 1920x1080. It also supports multiple formats like WebM , MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files, AVI MPEGPS, WMV and FLV. To upload a video just click on upload button at the left top. To watch your Uploaded video simple click on the file from your document list.
